Hello world! I hope that all of you had a great start to the new year! I've had mostly good problems lately- things are going great with my artwork & at the moment I'm on track with having my  "Twilight Time" pieces ready to release February 27, 2021! For me, this month has been a time of reflection & restoration. Honestly, I've been doing more sketching/drawing than painting lately. My series, "Twilight Time" represents endings & beginnings, & I feel like these paintings are my markers for the ending of my landscape phase & the beginning of work that will be more complex & have more elements for interpretation.  Don't worry! I will still be accepting commissioned landscapes, & it's not like I won't be inspired by the beautiful, summer sunsets to come ☺🌻🌞 However, I just feel the pull to challenge myself & feel like this is the time. Well, we can all say that 2020 was a hell of a year! I hope that everyone got to enjoy your holidays as much as possible & enjoyed good food with people you love! I hope that 2021 brings great things to all of you 💜 I'm not much into resolutions, however this year I do hope for better things & have goals I would like to achieve, starting with releasing my first two series of paintings. My first upcoming series will be a set of smaller paintings, they will be released this February. The second series will have 8 or more & probably won't be ready for release until Christmas time of 2021.  The past 2 months went by in a blur with the extra hours at my work & putting in all of my spare time into finishing commissions for Christmas gifts. I hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving with friends, family & good food! November is the month for practicing gratitude. To be honest, I'm grateful November is over! Don't get me wrong- it was a GREAT month! However it was also overwhelming & this chick is exhausted! I had the opportunity of being featured in my very first art showing! My work was featured alongside so many talented & experienced artists, I was overwhelmed with honor & excitement! I even sold a piece 😁 I had no expectations of selling a piece, I was just happy to be included.  This cutie is now sold & safe it's new home 💙 Also in November, I won a watercolor floral painting from a giveaway by the wonderful Melanie Bussey. Happy November everyone! 🦃🍂🍁🦃 October was a busy, yet exciting month for me! I hope all of you had a great beginning to the Autumn season as well 💛 I'm excited to say that I will FINALLY be wrapping up my El Morro Castle commission very soon! I'm now at 130 hours and over 5 months.  I know what you're probably thinking because it's been on my mind too- Wow, 5 months?? That's a long time! Trust me, I've been beating myself up about it. I feel like I've spent more time fixing mistakes than actually making headway with this one.  However, I have to keep telling myself that I'm still learning, and that this particular painting is really freaking difficult!  There's no rhyme or reason to this castle, it was forged out of a cliffside, has been destroyed and rebuilt more times than anyone could truly know.
