The original spark of creativity came from a photo I saw in an issue of Mindful magazine. The photo made me think of a painting I made a while back titled The Giving Tree, except I liked the colors in the magazine photo better and thought I'd give it a try. I really like the way this one came out even though it was really difficult to leave it alone! Lately I've been challenging myself to paint more decisively and in a looser style. I do enjoy those endless details that make a painting amazing instead of just nice, however I can drive myself a little crazy sometimes, so it's nice to start a piece with the intention of signing it in a few sittings instead of months. Also now that I've gotten the hang of it, I'm really starting to enjoy painting on these wooden panels! Hope you enjoy this one ✨
